Respect existence or expect resistanceAnonymous (via courtneyisnotthatamazing)
Don’t say ‘ALL BLACKS’ or ‘ALL WHITES’ or just simply ‘blacks’ and ‘whites’. Don’t generalize. Every colored person is different from the next, just like every white person is different from the next, just like every homosexual is different from the next.
Do not talk about a group as if it’s one person. Because the majority of colored people tend to be less educated, do NOT say ‘blacks are poor’. SOME are. If the majority of white people are fine don’t say ‘whites are rich’ SOME are. If the majority of homosexuals guys are soft and feminine don’t say ‘homosexuals act like girls’ SOME DO. Don’t say ‘all girls are sluts’ or ‘all guys are players’. DO NOT GENEREALIZE.
Do not talk about a group like you’ve met EVERY SINGLE ONE AND KNOW THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all straight people are homophobes. Not all colored people are likely to commit crime. Not all white people are racist. ALL IS NOT ONE, AND ONE IS NOT ALL.
America considers itself a state of equal rights for everyone. It’s not. The country had one revolution, to fight to become their own people, have their own rights and govern themselves.
They need another to fight for equality for all. Not when you get shot down because you’re suspected because of your skin color, whether you’re black, hispanic or any color besides white. Not when you are put to different as everyone else when you’re not something the majority is. Not when you wear a hijab and everyone can’t help but think you’re a muslim and agressive. Not when you’re with your boyfriend or girlfriend of the same gender as you and people can’t even stand to serve you at a resturant or even LOOK at you.
WE ALL ALL INDIVIDUALS who belong in the same group. He has a different personality, a different life than the homosexual you just met. She has a different personality, a different life than the people claiming to be Muslims you saw on the news. He has a different personality, a different life than the player who broke your heart. She has a different personality and a different life…we ALL do. No matter the one thing a group shares in common, they are different. Get to know someone without judging them from others actions, whether its good or bad. JUDGE THEM, not NOT THE ENTIRE GROUP.
It’s also disturbing how all of this is something none of us can change. You can’t change your skin color, you can’t change your gender. And grouping up religious and taught, you can’t just change your faith and religion. You can’t change who you love because your heart doesn’t see genders. YOU CAN’T CHANGE ANY OF THIS.
SO WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR some PEOPLE TO ACCEPT IT.
Not all whites are racist
Not all colored have commited crimes or have it to do so
Not all homosexuals hate straight people
Not all straight people hate homosexuals
Not all Muslims hate Christians
Not all Christians hate Muslims
Not all girls are players
Not all guys are players.
So this protest going on is NOT JUST ABOUT THE MAN WHO WAS KILLED. IT’S ABOUT WHY HE WAS KILLED AND WHAT WE AS A HUMAN RACE ARE GOING TO DO TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN’T KEEP HAPPENING TO INNOCENT PEOPLE JUDGED NOT BY THEIR CHARACTER, BUT BY THEIR SKIN COLOR, GENDER, SEXUALITY, RELIGION, OR BACKGROUND.
I’m just waiting for the spaceships to show up and be like “Earth people, this is a simulation. Your entire existence is a simulation. You have failed as a race, and are too violent.”
Like when is this gonna happen?
